Humanistic Counselling and Psychotherapy is grounded in the belief that every person has an innate capacity for growth, self-awareness, and healing. Rather than focusing on diagnoses or symptoms, this approach centres your whole experience as a human being — your feelings, your relationships, your sense of meaning and purpose.
In humanistic therapy, the therapeutic relationship itself is considered a primary vehicle for change. I offer a space characterised by three core conditions identified by Carl Rogers:
Within this safe, accepting space, you are free to explore your experiences, feelings, and goals at your own pace. There is no prescribed agenda — the work unfolds naturally from what matters most to you.
Sessions are client-led and exploratory. You set the pace and direction. My role is to walk alongside you, offering understanding, warmth, and reflections that help you see yourself and your situation more clearly. Many clients describe humanistic therapy as the first time they truly felt heard.
